About Us

My love for interiors started at a young age—fascinated by how something as simple as paint or wallpaper could completely transform the mood of a space. That early curiosity stayed with me as I moved through life—and across the globe. From London to Manila, Singapore to Los Angeles, every city I’ve called home has shaped my design perspective. Each place brought its own influence and inspiration: the minimalist calm in coastal cities, the bold colours, patterns, and textures of Southeast Asia, and the clever, space-smart living typical in England. 

Eventually, I realised I didn’t just enjoy admiring beautiful interiors—I wanted to create them. What began with a few big home projects soon turned into helping friends... and eventually became Mandarin Designs.

I met my husband and design partner, Ed, while living abroad in The Philippines (I was working for a US company; he was there filming a movie). With over 20 years of experience designing for major motion pictures, Ed brings the technical side of our work—3D modelling, layout planning, and spatial problem-solving that ensures every design functions as beautifully as it looks. 

Today, we’re based in the UK, working with clients both locally and remotely. Whether it’s a single room or an entire home, our goal is always the same: to design spaces that feel amazing to live in.
